What is pickling of stainless steel?
Acid pickling removes corrosion-prone heat tint from the surface of stainless steel.
Pickling is a process used to clean discolored surfaces caused by heat during manufacturing processes. It removes the low-chromium, corrosion-prone surface layer from stainless steel.
At our facility, we pickle stainless steels, acid-resistant steels, and duplex steels. Parts that do not fit in the pickling tank are pickled by spray pickling. We also perform on-site spray pickling services.
