THE PROFESSIONAL IN HOT-DIP GALVANIZING
A NEW AND MODERN HOT-DIP GALVANIZING PLANT
Hot-dip galvanizing is an immersion method in which a product is dipped into molten zinc at 450?°C after pretreatment. Zinc and steel react with each other to form a coating. Depending on the silicon (Si) content of the steel and immersion time, the coating thickness can vary between 60 and 250 micrometers. Hot-dip galvanizing provides excellent corrosion protection. The zinc coating offers cathodic protection even if the surface is damaged. No rust forms between the zinc layer and the steel, which is a key advantage compared to, for example, paint-only coatings. When a painted surface is damaged, rust can develop underneath the paint layer at the interface with the steel. However, when the surface is hot-dip galvanized and then painted - a method known as duplex coating - the zinc layer continues to provide cathodic protection.
As a surface treatment, hot-dip galvanizing is a cost-effective solution for structures exposed to outdoor conditions where long life and low maintenance are required. Galvanized coatings can last for decades without maintenance.
Our business is also inherently ecological: hot-dip galvanizing significantly extends product lifespan and durability, and zinc as a raw material is fully recyclable.
Hot-dip galvanizing is an environmentally friendly choice that continues to gain ground in protective coatings.
